Just send us this info and we will tell you exactly which ram is right for your machine, and what is the maximum ram you can upgrade to.

What is the maximum ram I can upgrade to?
Upgrading your ram can give your Mac a big speed boost - so it is always worthwhile getting the maximum amount of ram that your machine can take (if you can afford to :-). Just send us this info about your Mac (as shown in the above question) and we will tell you exactly which ram is right for your machine, and what is the maximum ram you can upgrade to.

Will upgrading my ram/memory void by Apple Warranty?
No, it won't void your warranty. Apple considers ram to be a "user-installable upgrade". So, you can install ram without voiding your warranty. Refer to the Apple Support Article for more information on this.

How long will it take for my ram to arrive?

If you placed your order before 2pm AEST, then we usually ship on the same day (Monday to Friday).  Otherwise, it will ship the following working day.

Your order is shipped from our Sydney warehouse via International Registered Post.  It should be delivered to you within 5 business days.  However, pease allow up to 10 working days for delivery. If your order has not arrived within 6 business days, please contact us and we will track your order through NZ Post.

Please note that customs duty may apply as your goods are being shipped from Australia.  It is our understanding that this occurs where the goods value is greater than NZD$399.  If you are unsure, please check with NZ customs.  All customs duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

How do I install the ram?
Unfortunately, there is no "one size fits all" answer to this question. Every Mac model has a different installation process. The good news is that the Apple Support website has detailed installation instructions for just about every Mac. So you will have step by step info to help you (usually it takes abt 3-5 minutes to install ram - though some very old models can take considerably longer).

We have compiled a list of the most common mac memory installation instructions. If you don't find the mac memory installation guide you are looking for, try searching on the Apple Support website for "How to install memory ".

What is your refund policy?
You are covered by our two pronged guarantee:
1. A lifetime warranty on the ram itself.
2. Compatibility with the mac we recommended the ram for - so even if the ram is OK, but it doesn't work the mac we have it will work with, then we will replace it (though there may be a cost difference between different types of ram - and that will need to be paid if ram is replaced with more expensive ram).

Send us an email letting us know what the problem is. If covered by our Guarantee, we will then send a Return Authorisation form. Send the ram back to the specified address within 7 days, and we will issue a replacement.

What is your ABN?
MacRam is owned by Mayhem Two Pty Ltd. Our ABN is:  32 083 044 786

If you have any other questions that are not on this list, just ask!

Is Customs Duty Payable?

According to the NZ Customs site, if your order is over NZD$399, then customs duty is payable.  If you have any doubts about whether duty applies, please check this on the NZ Customs site.  Customs duty is payable by the customer when the goods arrive in NZ.
